Identity & Break Plans
Still just working with the identity trying to hone it down and possible bring in some aspect of nature to make the brand feel like a more natural and healthy brand. I plan to get it down to five options and pick one before I go home for break.
Over break I plan to work at least 8-10 hours a week on my capstone and what I plan to accomplish before returning is a finalized identity, menu board design and folding menu concepts, and the beginning of the sketches of the interior/ exterior of my restaurant as I envision it looking if it were to really exist.

Modern Monkey Fast Food Restaurant
So the name of the conceptual restaurant is Modern Monkey, based off of the notion of human instinct to eat with your hands and the evolution of our tastes as a global society. So now I will begin the process of mind mapping and sketching to create a logo and brand for the company. I want this mark to be fun and eccentric, yet i want it to communicate natural and healthy. I also want the brand to be modern and bold to match the look and feel of what I envision the restaurant looking like.

Okay, so I haven't posted in a while. My apologies, but I just wanted to say that I thought everyone did very well on their capstone presentations and I am so excited to see everyone's progress into the next ones.
What I took away from the critique:
-The concept is good but make sure that some of the material in which I am using doesn't contradict my concept of a "green" restaurant.
-I have decided to go with the name Modern Monkey so I will be sketching and coming up with different logo variations for the next critique. I will then start to pick out some color schemes.
-I need to further explore some already existing restaurants who have this same "green" idea as mine.
-Research, Research, Research...
So if you have any comments that perhaps you did not get a chance to make about my project or have any ideas, please share! Thanks guys :)

Restaurant Names
Sooo what to name this place? Some things i'm trying to keep in mind is that my restaurant stands for: fast, healthy food that you can eat with your hands which is food inside of food. So far I've come up with:

I think I've got it...
So my new concept is an idea that was inspired by my original "inside-out" cupcake idea. People like to be able to take food with them. This is extremely obvious in the success of the fast-food industry. While America is known for "fast-food", this idea has been going on for centuries worldwide. For example, street vendors in Vietnam selling noodles. My new concept also was inspired by the fact that it is human instinct to eat with your hands. This also goes into the notion of fast-food. It's convenient and easy to eat especially if you're on the go. The fast food industry has a very negative reputation though for being a key factor in obesity and health issues.
So my idea is to create a concept for a "fast-food" restaurant that makes foods that:
1. You can eat with your hands
2. Features foods that are inside other foods (e.g. the inside out cupcake)
3. Is made with healthier ingredients
I would also be creating a cookbook.
So what are some foods that you already eat that are inside other foods (a common one: the burrito) ? Are their any variations that you would like to see?

Stuck in the Grey...
So I'm still all over the place about what to do for my capstone. I think that the cupcake shop is a really cool idea but I'm having trouble trying to push that idea past just a branding project and make it a big enough project to fully represent myself in a capstone project.
I am really interested in doing the magazine idea because I think it would be enough work to consider it a capstone project. I then thought of combining either my beauty campaign idea into the magazine or the Marietta Athletics marketing piece into the magazine idea.
So any thoughts on that would be great. Thanks!
